Galatians: Set Free to Serve Christ

You are Saved to Serve and Share

Galatians is a wonderful statement of freedom. God sent Paul to a church that was determined to put themselves back in chains. It was not a physical jail but a mental, emotional, and systematic one. They listened to people and their own flesh over Jesus’ clear statement from the Cross:

“It is finished” Your debt is paid.

This is a tragedy. It is a waste of time for them. It is not just about bondage vs. freedom, though. It is about building the Kingdom of God.

While they were so caught up in justifying themselves and serving worthless traditions what were they not doing????

Your Invitation to Dangerous Discipleship

Their actual mission – serving Jesus. You cannot be a servant of anyone else, including yourself, and be a servant of Christ. This is why Paul is so emphatic in Galatians.

The Christian life is not about gaining the approval of anyone else – including yourself. It is about making disciples of all nations, teaching them, baptizing them, loving them, and following Jesus alone.
