Answers to Common Pastor Questions

Questions People Ask, or Want to, about Faith

A page for just questions…of any kind.

Jesus is not disappointed when you have questions…about faith, life, or any subject. God is perfect and all knowing. You and I are not. Since you are not the Lord, you will have issues you need help understanding. This is not a bad thing. There is no shame in it.

God does not demand “blind faith”.

What if I am Having Doubts? A Pastor’s Answer

I had so many questions when I first came to Jesus. Going from a life entirely focused on self to one focused on God was a big transition. I had no idea how to do it. I longed to be a man of God but was just taking my first tentative steps in the faith. I immediately ran into some big problems, though. I had no one guiding me in the Lord. There was no one willing to take the time to disciple me.

I know my situation is not unique. There are so many of you out there who are just like I was. You have doubts. You have questions. You are having trouble finding answers. You are seeking. You don’t have a trustworthy source for guidance or you cannot get to them in your church. You may be wounded from a past church culture that discouraged curiosity. You may feel defeated and hopeless, like I did.

Questions-for-a-pastor

This is not what Jesus intends for you.

This is my reason behind this page: Pastor, Can I Ask You?. I want to directly answer your questions. I seek to help you destroy any roadblocks in your faith. I am certain Jesus has the perfect response to tear down your stronghold, no matter the subject. You just have to bring it to Him without fear, no matter the subject. So I love to answer the questions I get in person, online, and through email. Questions are not shameful or a sign of weakness. They are openings to help you grow!

There are no off limit questions here as a result. I likely had all the same questions you do. There is no issue that is too big or too scary for God to handle.

Whether you are plagued by doubt, questioning sexuality, confused about Scripture, or have any other issue, Jesus invites you to seek answers. God already knows you have your question, if you think about it.

God wants you grow. You cannot do that without boldly searching for more of Jesus.

I will update with more questions answers as I receive them. Please comment or email me at pastorunlikely@gmail.com with your question.
