Jesus Loves You Perfectly
God loves us because He is love, not because we are perfect. We often overlook this fact in our Christian lives. The result is our walks with Jesus end up as a roller coaster ride rather than filled with the peace God intends. We are up on a mountaintop when we feel like we are serving God well. This is quickly followed by a valley when we fall prey to temptation and fall short of our standards for ourselves. Life as a disciple ends up being frustrating and unsatisfying. It is filled with struggle, guilt and burdens. Understanding the height and depths of God’s love liberates us from this pointless cycle. God is Love.
God is perfect love expressed towards the ones that He calls His children. Do we comprehend even a little bit of what this means for us? Are we living in His grace filled love? Here are 21 Wonderful Bible Verses to Remind Us today if we are struggling with His love. They are like a warm hug from the Almighty!
1) John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3) Romans 5:8
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
4) 1 John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
5) John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
