A Christian’s Classic Journey
The Pilgrim’s Progress is one of my favorite Christian stories. It is a classic of Christian literature. Written by John Bunyan while he was in prison for his faith, it has been translated into 200 languages and has never been out of print. More importantly, it uses the journey of the title character, Christian Pilgrim to illustrate the trials and pitfalls of a Christian life.
If you are not familiar with it, The Pilgrim’s Progress is The Chronicles of Narnia 300 years before C.S. Lewis. It is just as good of a story and is more impactful as a Christian story.
I was excited, therefore, when I was given a screener of a new animated movie version of this classic allegory. My family and I watched it and we all enjoyed it. It was the best version of the book we have seen! If you are like me these days and don’t have time to read the whole book, this is the next best thing. It beautifully brings Bunyan’s amazing work to life.
This is one of those simple opportunities for families that you want to take advantage of.

This is so exciting! I taught about this book when I taught in Christian schools and loved the allegories and lessons it teaches. I can’t wait to be able to buy the movie!
