Jesus sends His disciples out into the world to preach His Gospel. He commissions them to do the work of His Kingdom. He then tells them they will be like sheep among wolves. Yikes!
It is not the most comforting picture. But it makes sense when we understand that Jesus is sending us out like sheep tended by a Great Shepherd. Wolves are strong on their own and tear others apart. Sheep desperately need the Shepherd and His power!
