Faith: Running the Race Like Joseph

How to Run to Win

By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.

Joseph is a man of great faith. He boldly follows God throughout his lifetime. He is depicted at the end of his life in Hebrews still just as trusting in God as he was in the beginning. This is amazing in itself. For though we tend to focus on the highpoints of Joseph’s life, he also experienced great hardship.

Joseph’s life was a roller coaster. It was filled with both wonderful victories and huge challenges. He remains faithful through all of them knowing that it is God’s grace and blessing that guides him – not the circumstances around him.

Joseph trusts in God, not his own senses.

He walked by faith and not by sight.

  1. The post you’ve shared on Joseph’s faith, with its powerful focus on trusting God’s promises over our own senses through every twist of life’s race, resonates so deeply with the spiritual journey I write about. His story is a stunning testament to the truth that our faithfulness is not determined by our ever-changing circumstances, but by the unchanging character of the God who guides us. This is the very heart of the breakthroughs I chronicle at My Journey Through the Cross, learning to walk, and run, by faith and not by sight, breaking through the false layer of trusting only what we can see and feel. Joseph’s legacy encourages us to fix our eyes not on the pit, the prison, or the palace, but on the faithful Promise-Keeper who authors our story.
