There are so many books and movies that have impacted my life as a christian. I am so grateful to our Lord that we have so many resources that can help to not only guide others to Christ. But also keep our lights shining ( kind of like a refill when we many run low). I love that there is a remake of this story. It is one of my favorites. This story is a part of the curriculum that I teach at my school. I fell in love the first time I taught it. It helps me to keep a short account.It also reminds me of why I first loved Christ. How with Him, all things are possible.
It is a wonderful story, isn’t it? And yes, short accounts – that is a great point. Like the story, it is so simple to understand how to follow Christ yet so hard sometimes. The more simple we keep it, the better.
I would say the book I’m reading now is so impactful. Apostate : The men who destroyed the Christian West. Written by Kevin Swanson. I plan on rereading it immediately after I’m finished and have each of my children read it before graduating home school.

It has been one of my favorites to watch from time to time. I really like the strength of Corrie Ten Boom and her sister in this as christians. It is a powerful! Other than the Bible, I have a library of books that I love to read…Overcomer is a recent one by Dr. David Jeremiah. 🙂
